Tree Plant Campout

Activity: Annual Tree Plant Campout at Camp Cherokee
When:
  • Meet at Jess Harben, Friday February 23rd at 6:15PM. Return Sunday February 25th, approximately 1:00 PM. Review the Departure Procedure.
  • Wear Class A Shirt!
Cost:
  • Approximately $10.00 for food.
  • Fish Hatchery No Charge Paid by the troop
  • $5.00 Travel fee. Not needed if one of your parents is attending the campout.
  • Extra $$$ for Snacks on the road (if driver of vehicle allows).
Meals:
  • By Patrol, planned at meeting.
Equipment:
Please
bring a
shovel with
your name
on it!
  • Class A uniform will be worn anywhere outside of camp; Class B in campsite.
  • Scout Handbook (in ziplock bag)
  • Backpack (not required, but recommended)
  • Poncho
  • Sleeping Bag (A Pad is important in cool weather. A foam pad works well.)
  • Change of Clothes.
  • A WARM jacket or coat. This is February in Texas. Dress appropriately.
  • Hat (Stocking Cap) and Gloves.
  • Basic First Aid Kit (A scout is Prepared)
  • Flashlight, Cup and Water Bottle
  • Plate & Spoon
  • Pocket Knife (a small one, no large knives) Totin Chip required.
  • Personal Gear (Soap, toothpaste etc) (A scout is clean)
  • No electronics (games, radios, CD players etc)
