NORTH TRAIL DISTRICT
OAK LEAF JUNIOR LEADER TRAINING

PURPOSE:
To provide a short term "learner oriented" training experience for young men, *before* they attend a more advanced and intensive training program for junior leaders such as Golden Acorn.
WHEN:
Saturday, April 1, 2006
Registration opens at 8:00a.m.
Registration closes at 9:30a.m.

Sunday, Sunday April 2, 2006
Closing at 11:30
FEE:
$20.00 per person
$30.00 late registration.

WHO:
All Scouts having attained First Class Rank or above. Minimum age is 12 years old at time of course.
BRING:
  • Scouting Spirit
  • Good Attitude
  • UPDATED Class I MEDICAL FORM (will not be returned at end of training)
  • Sack lunch for Saturday
  • Backpack
  • Two man tent per Scout
  • Pencil/pad
  • Boy Scout Handbook
  • Junior Leader's Handbook
  • Sleeping bag
  • flashlight
  • personal gear
  • compass
  • etc...
  • EACH SCOUT MUST PROVIDE HIS OWN CUP!!! - PLEASE DRESS FOR THE WEATHER.
    CLASS "A" UNIFORMS WILL BE WORN AT ALL TIMES DURING THE COURSE.

    DO NOT BRING:
    Pocket knives (WE WILL NOT BE USING KNIVES); cigarette lighters; matches; lighter fluid; Game Boys or Electronic Gear (radios & etc.); or firecrackers of any kind.

    The District Level Training, Oak Leaf, and the Council level training, Golden Acorn, are not substitutes for the troop level, on-going junior leadership training, but are intended to augment the Troop's program.
