Troop 1191 Annual Family and Friends Canoe Campout.

Return Sunday May 18th,
approximately 1:00 PM. See the

| Cost: |
- Rental Fees: $15.00 per person for canoes, $20.00 per person for kayak rentals (Adult or Scout), paid in advance.

- Approximately $3.00 for Patrol meals (Saturday Breakfast)
- Sack Lunch for
Saturday noon meal. See below.
- $5.00 for Saturday Evening Meal paid in advance.
- $2.00 per person Campground Fee paid in advance.
- $5-10 for Sunday noon meal on the road.
- Approximately $10.00 for other stops on the
road. Additional spending money if desired.
- $5.00 Travel fee. (Not required if parents are driving.)

| Meals: |
- By Patrol, planned at meeting.
- Sack Lunch for Saturday noon meal. If you are canoeing on the river, bring your SACK LUNCH, double or triple zip lock bagged, and a way to attach it to the canoe.
- Noon meal on the road coming home Sunday.

| Equipment: |
- Scout Handbook (in ziplock bag).
- Backpack with gear.
- Jacket, Hat, and Poncho
- Compass
- Sleeping Bag and pad.
- Change of Clothes. At least two sets.
- Water Shoes, or old shoes that can get wet.
- Sunscreen and Bug Repellant

- Basic First Aid Kit (A scout is Prepared).
- Flashlight, Cup, Plate, Spoon, Fork & Water
Bottle.
- Pocket Knife (a small one), Totin Chip required.
- Personal Gear (Soap, toothpaste etc.) (A scout
is clean).
- No electronics (games, radios, CD players etc).

Special
Contitions: |
- To canoe on the river, you must have the SWIMMING MERIT BADGE. NO EXCEPTIONS. By definition the scouts will be 'going into the water.'
Scouts without the swimming merit badge will be able to canoe the lake. A much more controlled environment with no rapids.
- Scouts may only use Kayaks at the Scoutmaster's discretion. Must have SWIMMING MERIT BADGE and be at least 14 years old for consideration.
- Any gear taken on the river needs to be bagged to keep it dry.
